Intra-company Transfer
The intra-company transfer category is for multi-national companies who for operational reasons need to transfer an overseas employee to a skilled job in the multi-national's United Kingdom entity.
The employee you need to transfer must have been working in the overseas entity for at least twelve- months directly before you need the transfer to take place.
Because of the specific nature of these transfers, the employer does not have to meet the resident labour market test. However. the job must be at S/NVQ level 3 or above, and the migrant must earn the appropriate salary or other package of remuneration appropriate for the job, such as specific allowances we deem appropriate, in the United Kingdom.
If you need confirmation that the position you wish to fill in the UK is at S/NVQ level 3 or above, please contact one of our experts who will be able to assist you. If you have a full job description including the person specification, that would prove most useful for our experts to see.
Intra-company transfer - offers multi-national organisations a route to transfer employees to the United Kingdom under three sub-categories:
- Established Staff – this route is for established, skilled employees to be transferred to • the United Kingdom branch of their organisation to fill a post that cannot be filled by a settled worker
- Graduate Trainee – this route allows the transfer of recent graduate recruits to a United • Kingdom branch of their organisation, for training purposes
- Skills Transfer – this route allows the transfer of new recruits to a United Kingdom • branch of their organisation to acquire the skills and knowledge that he/she will need overseas or to impart specialist skills or knowledge to the UK workforce.
