Entry Clearance & Further Leave to Remain

When you get an approval for a Certificate of Sponsorship that does not mean that you can employ the candidate immediately. If the candidate is in the UK and they can legally 'Switch' into a Tier 2 (General), the candidate will have to apply for Further Leave to Remain and have the application approved before they can work for you. If the candidate is outside of the UK they will need to make an application for Entry Clearance before they can come to the UK to work for you.

Therefore, under both scenarios you must take into consideration approximate timescales for having the candidate physically working for you in the UK, and arrange for cover if required to ensure operational needs.

Warner Pride can assist your candidate with their Entry Clearance or Further Leave to Remain application regardless of where in the world the candidate lives. However, we go one step further; we will also guarantee the Entry Clearance or Further Leave to Remain approval, after an initial assessment. This means if we assist your candidate with their application and the application is refused, we will refund 150% of our visa service fee – guaranteed!

There are some exceptions for the need to get Entry Clearance, this is where the candidate is a on-visa national and the are coming to the UK to work for less than six months.

What is a Non-Visa Nationals?
A non-visa national does not need a visa to come to the United Kingdom for less than six months, unless it is a requirement of the immigration category under which they are entering. A non-visa national coming to the United Kingdom for more than six months will need a visa.

What is a Visa Nationals?
Some visa nationals may pass through the United Kingdom on the way to another country without a visa, but in some circumstances they will require a direct airside visa or visitor in transit visa.
